Freedom for thee but not for me
This is a short post on a recent observation I have made in relation to the events that are transpiring in Egypt. I notice all of the talking heads, Council on Foriegn Relations clowns, assorted military analysts and every other establishment shill that the media can find telling me how great this outpouring of freedom in Egypt has been. How this is going to spread through the whole middle east and how wonderful all this will be in the end. It very well may turn out that way I do not know. My observations are two fold. First of all the reason President Mubarak was able to stay in power for thirty years was because we gave him support and money! I notice there is no discussion of our role in perpetuating tyranny in Egypt because it was in our supposed national interest. The other observation is when we eventually have a currency crisis in this country and the economy is reeling from the inflation the Fed and US Government have created and hundreds of thousands or millions of Americans are protesting and demanding the removal of whatever government is in power will our Congress and President resign and listen to the will of the people or will they put the troops on the street? Somehow I think that all the big talk about freedom, democracy, and the will of the people is just more BS being spouted by egomaniacal sociopaths in government for the sake of the sheeple watching Fox News. Something to think about.
